25 Years of Memories

February 28 marks the conclusion of Insomniac Games’ 25th anniversary. Before we leap into a new year (yuk yuk), studio founder Ted Price reflects back on some of his favorite memories along this crazy ride. We shared them on our social media channels, but here they are all together for your reading pleasure.

Thank you for your continued support. We love you!  Here’s to the next 25 years.

Let’s Make a Deal!

“I remember returning with Al Hastings after we had pitched (PlayStation game) Disruptor… I thought we had failed and would have to shut down. But when I checked my answering machine it was Mark Cerny saying, “Let’s do a deal.” It was probably the most important moment in our history.”

We’ve Arrived

“I’m a Foo Fighters uber-fan so seeing Dave Grohl and crew performing under a giant Spyro banner in 1998, hearing Dave talk about his love of games in between songs, was surreal. It made me think, ‘Wow, we’ve arrived.'”

Fizzie Says

“Watching people look around as a giant inflatable Fizzie (from Xbox One game Sunset Overdrive) insulted them from the roof of LA’s Convention Center South Hall at E3 2014 was endlessly entertaining. Even better was when they’d look up and laugh.”

The Gasp

“Hearing the collective gasp when Marvel’s Spider-Man was revealed at Sony’s 2016 E3 Media Briefing was so gratifying. I really wish every Insomniac could have been in the theater to hear it.”

For the Fans!

“Nothing compares to meeting our fans face to face. I remember every one of our community days clearly – especially the earliest ones where we were tiny but fans would still travel across the country to see us.”
