The Unspoken Grand Finals!
After 25 weeks (spanning over 7 months) a gaming history-making moment is finally here. The VR Challenger League’s inaugural season is coming to a close this weekend in Poland at IEM Expo – the world’s first VR esports league at one of the biggest esports events of the year. Starting March 2nd and continuing live, on-stream, March 3rd, the top 8 players from North America and the EU will be dueling it out for the title of Grand Champion!
For the past several months, participants from around the globe vied for a ticket to IEM Expo in Katowice, Poland through a series of tournaments that culminated in EU and North America regional championships. The EU regional tournament took place at DreamHack Winter in Sweden, while North American competitors battled at IEM Oakland in California. Yawning Soldier and Reukifellth emerged victorious and locked up the top seeds for the Grand Finals. From there they were joined by the remaining top three online points leaders from both regions. 7am ET / 4am PT – Round 1 will be played and two elimination matches in the loser’s bracket. **These matches are not streamed lived.
Saturday (3/3) –
6:45am ET / 3:45am PT – Live stream starts, and runs all day
~2:00pm ET / 11am PT – Finals should start live, on-stream
